Reps. Clint Owlett and Tina Pickett hosted a seminar in Wellsboro about the growing problem of children being exploited online. This form of human trafficking often leaves young victims feeling helpless with nowhere to turn for help. The discussion was led by Attorney General Dave Sunday, Wyoming County District Attorney Joe Peters and Korrin Moon, founder and president of Lantern Rescue, a nonprofit working to liberate the victims of this horrible crime.

Rep. Tina Pickett attended a House Republican Policy Committee hearing in Williamsport that examined energy taxes and their negative impact on the economy and consumers. It was one of a series of hearings the committee has been holding statewide titled “Stopping New Energy Taxes.”

Rep. Tina Pickett took part in a hearing convened by the House Republican Policy Committee titled “Stopping Economic Disaster: The Democrats and their Green New Deal” to draw attention to efforts that would essentially shut down the energy industry, leading to higher energy bills, lost jobs, threats to national security and harm to the environment.

Rep. Tina Pickett spoke in support of Senate Bill 225 prior to its passage by the House of Representatives. The measure makes significant reforms to prior authorization and step therapy for medical treatment. Pickett helped to craft the historic legislation as majority chair of the House Insurance Committee.
