Literacy matters! That's why I was proud to speak at a press conference hosted by the Pennsylvania Literacy Coalition. If we invest now, we won’t just improve reading scores. We will strengthen our economy, uplift communities, and open doors for an entire generation of Pennsylvania’s children.

To support young and growing families in Pennsylvania, I recently introduced bills that would grant sales tax holidays for essentials like children’s books, children’s toys, strollers, cribs, crib mattresses, and other baby furniture. House Republicans are working to make our Commonwealth more affordable for families.

On March 9, I had the opportunity to ask PennDOT leaders about transit funding solutions. Pennsylvania has diverse transportation needs, and we need a long-term plan to fund multi-modal projects across the Commonwealth.

On March 3, I had the opportunity to ask state agency leaders at the PA Department of Labor and Industry about unemployment compensation fraud and overpayments.

During the March 2 Appropriations Committee meeting with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), I had the opportunity to ask state agency leaders about the expansion of the SPEED Program, which was created to modernize and expedite PA’s permitting process.
